  1. Every $1 you invest today is a little bit of time hat you you buy back in the future, the more you invest, the more free time you can afford in the future, having time and the freedom to choose what to do are the ultimate investing goal

  2. If I say the market is going to CRASH for long enough, eventually I will be right as Markets always go up and down (periodically by larger than expected %). I do agree that Tesla is extremely over priced and it's current price would suggest that Tesla is the only electric car manufacturer in the world. That is, of course, not the case and the likes of VW, Merc, BMW, Volvo, Nio, XPEV … just to mention a few, are also in the game. First mover advantage doesn't last forever. Lets face it; we the ordinary person, will always ultimately find a way of giving away our money to the rich somehow, be it a market crash, government subsidies to companies (Our money), bank bailouts, Market manipulations etc.

  3. The market is literally nothing but fraud by banks & funds.
Derivative Markets are 20-200X bigger than the asset they represent. This is reckless, and it invites fraud.
Here's a (nearly) congruent "tangible" example that will illuminate just how IDIOTIC this truly is:
Let's say I decide to buy a yacht for 2 million dollars.
I also live in a place where there are lots of hurricanes, so I decide to invest in PREMIUM HURRICANE INSURANCE.
I pay 200,000$ a month, and at any point if my yacht is ruined, I get 10 million dollars. (5x my original investment.)
Seems risky, for both parties, but liberty is an ingredient of capitalism. We're all adults.
HOWEVER, here's the kicker: Anyone who owns a 20 million dollar yacht has the power to CREATE OR ERASE HURRICANES.
Now are you starting to get the picture?

  4. @10:15, the concept behind the reference to Rittenhouse is such that "…grabbing his rifle is tantamount to a masochistic death wish…" any rational person would know not to run after and try to harm someone carrying a rifle that is capable of killing you, held by a person who doesn't want to get hurt or let you have the rifle (yet four people tried, two are dead, one got shot – not a "good rate of return").

It's Burry's way of saying people who are market "players" are downright suicidal at the moment.
